Product Review: Nike 'Free 4.0 V2' Running Shoe

This past Saturday my hubby decided to enter me in a 3mile walk/run for a charity event. And for anyone who knows me, I am NOT the type of girl to jog or walk for a very long distance. But I do love charity events and will do anything to help raise/donate money for a good cause. :) So in order to prepare myself, I was convinced that I needed a pair of Nike Free. I went to Nordstrom to try on the Run+3s and 4.0 V2s and really liked how the 4.0 V2s felt on my feet so I knew those were it!

First impression:  I loved the color combo. Usually I'm more of a neutral girl (anything grey or black) but the night blue color really attracted me with the neon yellow Nike swoosh symbol. Also, it looks more like a really dark deep purple so it's funny how they called it night blue. When first put on, it was like walking on airy cushions. It was super lightweight on my feet and it gave me the perfect arch support since I had none. It was pretty flexible on the bending (as you can see above). I tested it out and bounced/ran around our place and it was not holding me down like my old workout shoes used to do. I was amazed by them. Another thing I would like to point out - I normally don't ever wear tennis shoes because the feeling of my toes enclosed with socks on, drives me crazy! But these gave my toes enough room to wiggle/breath and didn't annoy me. :)

But thanks to my fellow blogger, DSK Steph.. she had told me before to sign up for Ebates (which is an awesome cash-back site) so I finally did and was able to receive 5% back just for purchasing them on Nordstrom.com. Yay! And thanks to Nordstrom's great service of picking them up at their store, I was able to get them on the same day I bought them on-line. Double Yay!! :)

Overall: This was worth the money and I would totally recommend them to anyone who needs great running/workout shoes.
