Happy Monday!
My future bro-in-law was giving me some tips on how to pose.. hence why I couldn't stop laughing.. haha..

One of the perks of being petite is the ability to shop not only in the women sections but also in the kids section too. It's something I've come to realize back in the days when I worked in Retail. It's nice seeing cute stuff in kids and being able to try them on. A major plus also is if there are the same style in womens but also in kids for partial price! That's a win!! I buy all my UGG boots in girls from now on. ;)

For this outfit, I fit a Zara women size 6 in their shoes but I can totally fit a 3.5 in Zara girls too. So I was able to pick up these studded loafers at Zara in the girls section when I took a trip down to San Fran. And of course when I saw this boys Rag&Bone sweater from the Target/Neiman Marcus collaboration, that didn't stop me from trying on and buying it! I like the unisex look and how I can utilize it as a cardigan than just a sweater. I also added some accessories to make it somewhat more girly. I feel like I have double the options/choices when shopping! How convenient, right?

What do you think about wearing kids clothing?

  1. Hi Sheila!
I know, being petite is a real blessing! I sometimes buy some stuff in the kids section, no shame in that!
And since I appreciate a good deal, I'm always glad to pay less ^^. Yay for affordable fashion!

  46. I recently just watched a segment on the news about trying on clothes from the kid section as you can usually find also very trendy pieces at sometimes half of the price of what they would cost if they were the adult version... Never tried it but I might have to start browsing next time I step in a store. That's certainly a nice sweater, love the subtle metallic color, and those studded loafers are really cute! You look adorable in that picture with the smile!

  47. That's cool you can shop at the girl's section, means you can get more variety and save money! :) Love your green pants, such a great colour.

  51. Lovely outfit Sheila!

Buying kids shoes can be tricky at Zara. Sometimes a different style will fit differently. Not sure if you noticed that before. For example, I found these cute studded bow flats in Zara Girls but I had to sell them to a co-worker since they didn't fit me while another style did. I was frustrated because I really wanted them to work. lol

  52. You look lovely, I like that you are laughing in some of these :) I buy from the kids section often too. I think its a good thing, here in UK you don't pay VAT on children's clothes and shoes so even better! I actually vowed to wear less kids clothes towards end of last year because I thought it wasn't right that I am 31 and wearing age 12-13 years old clothing, but I have scrapped that plan as who cares if its kids clothing, its cute and way cheaper!

    Janine xx

  53. i always look in the kids sections for clothes and shoes! i mean half of the time the kids clothing fits me better than women's does, haha!

  54. we love your slippers !!!
