Product Review: Influenster Spring VoxBox

Friday, June 21, 2013

Happy Friday guys!!

Sorry for being MIA.. some of you who follows me on Instagram might have seen that my husband and I recently bought our first house! It was a very stressful process with choosing what we wanted and having the builders get the house completed last month for us to close on time! So for the past two weeks, we've been busy busy moving things and unpacking. Hence why I've been gone and haven't had the time to blog. It also developed a little backlog of blog posts that I've been wanting to put together which one is this product review of the Influenster Spring Fever VoxBox that I had received last month. I'm hoping to have some home decor blog posts done too in the near future! ;)

Influenster had sent theVoxBox for my review of all the products that was in it. It was full of goodies from hair product to beauty to even food! Here's the list of items that was in my Spring Fever VoxBox:

imPress Broadway Nails Press-on Manicure: I wasn't thrilled when I first saw these in the VoxBox only because I don't like using press-on nails.. plus I have a bad habit of picking at them so they wouldn't have stayed on for very long. So I actually didn't bother trying them on even though the hot pink color was a pretty shade! Oh well.. in my honest opinion I rather go to the nail salon and get acrylic nails then spend my time messing around with these.

Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant: The bottle shows up to 48 hours long-lasting but by that time I would've taken a shower and the deodorant probably would've washed off by then. hahaha.. but I did use it and the smell wasn't overly powerful which is a pet peeve of mine if the smell is too 'perfumey'. It glides on clear and no deodorant markings on the clothes which is a plus!

Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Dust It: I tried this hair product twice and was surprised that you simply just sprinkle the powder right onto your head. I tried to put a little bit on but a lot came out at first which I had to hurry and comb it out. Then I felt the powder absorbed into my hair and it made my hair somewhat stiff to create the more volume. I used a teasing comb and volume is what I got! I am still iffy about this product though and will have to continue to use it in order to get a hang of it.

TastyKake Kandy Bar Kakes with Reese's Peanut Butter: When I first opened the box, this was the first thing my eyes went to. Yummy! Unfortunately I have been really good at eating healthy so I took one tiny bite of it and gave the rest to my husband. He gladly took it and ate the rest and said he liked it. I thought it was alright just because it was more like a soft cake than a dense chewy cake (like a brownie!) that I was hoping for. The reese's peanut butter was a delicious bonus though.. mmm reese's peanut butter cups!

NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm in Big Apple Red: This was probably the only product that I truly liked out of everything! I have been on a search for the right red lip balm without it being too dark or too bright for my lips. This lip balm had an apple print on top which I thought was cute and the smell was nice! It glides on nicely and kept my lips moisturized. The only downside was reapplying every few hours but what do I expect more from a lip balm right? I have been wearing it to work and it seemed to go well with my outfits. I like this shade of red and will use this lip balm more often!

Tell me which product you think looks the best in this VoxBox?

Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
