Happy Thursday!

Just a quick post showing off my bridesmaid dress from my little sister's wedding from this past weekend. Her colors were light grey and lavender, perfect for a Summer wedding! I also wanted to show you guys the outfits that two of my cousins wore to the wedding as well! Aren't they stylish?? Kianna and Marcus are siblings and I've watched them grow up so fast! Where does the time go?! They love to go thrifting which is something I still haven't tried yet. They've found some amazing stuff so far! Definitely check out their outfit details above and let me know what you guys think! Unfortunately our feet got cut off but I put the details up anyways so you can get an idea. ;)

Also, the winner of the $25 J.Crew or Madewell giftcard is....

Christy from Sunny with a Side Of!

Congratulations girl! I will be sending you an e-mail soon!

Thanks to everyone who had entered! You've made my Blogiversary a special one! And I cannot wait for more to come!! It'll be some great ones. Stay tuned. :)

Happy Monday!

My mind and body is still pretty exhausted from all the wedding festivities that happened over the weekend. But I am super happy though that my little sister is now married and that I gained a brother. I was really nervous on doing my Matron of Honor speech but I kept it together (with tears running down my face). haha.. Also, I was able to do my sister's bridal makeup plus all the makeup for each of the four bridesmaids plus myself which was probably the most I've done in one setting. It was busy but a lot of fun! Overall, everything turned out well and now I have one more wedding coming up soon!

I admit that I was so tired that I almost didn't want to take these outfit photos because I was just out of it. I had woken up early yesterday morning to go help do my sister's makeup again for her wedding day-after photos. I threw this comfy outfit on but skipped the scarf until after I came back to run my own errands. Rosie Fox had sent me this scarf a while but I never got the chance to wear it since the weather has been so hot here. I finally decided to try wearing it as a headband and I thought it turned out pretty cute especially with the black cats print! It is a great alternative way to wear scarves in the Summer. And if you know me.. I love my scarves! ;)

How do you incorporate scarves in the Summertime?

Also, I'll be picking the winner of the $25 J.Crew or Madewell giftcard this week! Look out for the winner soon. :) And thanks to everyone that had entered! Much appreciated!!

Happy Wednesday!!

I'm still on my long week break and it's been nice being able to run errands during the daytime without having to beat the evening crowds. haha.. But today will be the start of helping my little sis out for her wedding! I'll be doing makeup trials for her and one of the bridesmaids. And organizing some of the things plus wedding favors. Fun stuff!! It brings me back to when my wedding was almost two years ago (anniversary on the 27th!). ^__^

I wore this outfit yesterday when I went out to dinner with my cousins. I had picked and received this dress from Lookbook Store and I know.. I just can't get enough of tribal print for Summer! It's just a fun print to wear and this light blue dress seemed like it can fit right into my closet! The one thing that I really liked about the dress besides the tribal print was the sweetheart neckline. I decided to wear some hot pink accessories to help give some more pop of colors since light blue is kinda neutral. What do you think? Also, I've been loving gold jewelry lately too.. which is odd because I'm all about silver jewelry! I guess my mindset has changed and I just want everything gold! I thought this pretty necklace from My Jewelry Box which I think would look great with this outfit as well!

Has your mindset change for the opposite?

Happy Monday!

I am on a long weekend break preparing for my little sister's wedding that's coming up this weekend. Crazy how time flies!! Anyways, today I wanted to show you guys another way on how to wear the bird printed blouse from Aeropostale which I had wore in this daytime look. I switched it up and styled it for a nighttime look (for both Fall and Summer) so you can see that the blouse itself is very versatile. Pairing it with a black mini skirt and some simple black/gold accessories and you're ready to go meet with some girlfriends! Hubs thought I could be ready to go out for clubbin. hahaha.. j/k! ;)

What do you think of this Part 2 look?

Product Review: Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash

Friday, August 9, 2013

Happy Friday guys!!

Yay, it's finally almost the weekend!! Who's more excited than me? :)

Influenster had chosen me to review the Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield Mouthwash in Peppermint Blast. Now I must admit that I hardly ever use mouthwash before/after brushing my teeth. I've just always hated the stinging feeling against my gums and it would make me tear up constantly each time I would use any kind of mouthwash. I prefer using a handy-dandy tongue scraper instead to get rid of the bad morning breath. haha.. So when I received this mouthwash in the mail last month, I was surprised to read on their front label that it was a no burn alcohol feeling with this new mouthwash. I decided to give this a try and use it every day for the best results. For the first night, I thought it wasn't too bad and thought that stinging feeling wouldn't happen but it kinda did.. but not as bad as other mouthwashes. I tried each night moving forward and the feeling went away and it was exactly how I would want it to be.

Price: $4.99-$6.99 + tax but right now Target has an online price of $2.99 (here)!

Overall: I would give it an B+, I mean I don't really know for sure if the protection of 12 hours really is true or not but the minty taste isn't bad plus without the alcohol burn! It felt nice to be able to add this to my morning routine. ;) And for an 8.4 fl oz sized bottle, the price seems to be a bit high in my opinion unless you get it at Target online which is a steal! But if I were to purchase this? That's a maybe.. I might want to try their spearmint flavor because I LOVE spearmint anything. haha..

What do you think of this product?

Happy Wednesday!

This past weekend was again filled with bridal activities! This time it was all for my little sister aka the other photographer (she took the outfit pics above!). Her wedding is coming in less than two weeks!!!! Ah... so the bridesmaids and I threw her a fun bachelorette party then two days later it was her lovely bridal shower. That was just a long and busy weekend for sure. But I can't wait until her big day is here because that is what makes this all worth it for! ;)

I chose to wear an tribal patterned a-line shaped dress that I got recently from Target (they've been making some cute summer dresses!). I love how it's a simple black and white color scheme because you can pair it with any other accent colors such as metallic gold or whatever you want! It makes it the perfect summer dress to dress up and down with for any occasions even with a print like this.

How would you dress up or down tribal print?

Happy Monday!

I'm lucky to be off from work today to rest up from a long busy weekend (bachelorette party plus another bridal shower!) but I wanted to show you guys an outfit that I had put together for a casual daytime look featuring this sheer long sleeve bird print top from Aeropostale! For some reason I think this outfit looks like it can be part of a Back to School lookbook. hahaha.. even though I'm done with school this seems like something I would wear if I were to ever go back... ;)

I picked to pair the top with some olive green lola jeggings and this grey knit cocoon cardigan. For some reason online doesn't have these jeggings available yet but in stores they have plenty located right in front of the store itself! They are really stretchy and comfortable! They are a tad bit long for my shortness but not too much which I can still tuck in the bottoms without hemming and their size runs (in my opinion) one size up. They also have other colors available but olive green reminds me so much for the upcoming Fall season. Don't you think? I can't wait till it's cooler so I can wear this outfit more!

Use AEROROCKS for 30% off a single item!

Also, I had received these cool grey sunglasses from the people at which I've collaborated with a few times before. These wayfarer style sunglasses were perfect for a sunny day like this and the grey color was just different than the standard black. Matches my grey cardigan! haha.. I thought the lens were a little smaller for the frame of my face but overall still a great style for an everyday use. :)

Are you ready for the Fall season?
