Happy Halloween!!

I can't believe the holidays are starting today already! That means soon it will be Thanksgiving then Christmas!! I had always thought that once Halloween came, the other two holidays will come up sooner than we know it. Which is both good and sad in a way. haha.. I remember my last year's Halloween post which gave me inspiration to do another orange/black color scheme outfit. This time mixing in more of the other autumn colors like brown and maroon. And who doesn't love a cute orange/red fox?

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween! This will be the first holiday for the Hubs and I in our new home. We did some fun decorations and will be passing out candy to trick or treaters. I can't wait to see all the kiddies costumes! I will not be dressing up unfortunately.. but Kobi will be! Pic will be posted on my Instagram later today. ;)

Are you dressing up today? What will you be?

Happy Tuesday!

Leather has been showing up as a big trend for the Fall season. Right away I knew that I wanted to find a faux leather jacket to add to my closet. It took me a while to find the perfect one for me because I didn't want one that had all kinds of zips and buckles. Not that it's bad but I just didn't want to make myself look like a biker chic. haha.. So after searching online and in stores, I finally found this faux leather jacket at a Forever 21 which was on sale (even better!). I like the semi-cropped look and the sleeves were the perfect length so I didn't have to roll it up which sometimes can be an issue for us petite girls. Add a pair of leather ankle boots and a leather cross-body. I'm all about this trend for Fall. :)

Also, Hailes from Hailes Hearts Fashion asked me to do a guest post to talk about why I love Fall.
Hope you can check it out on her blog and let me know what you think!

Happy Thursday!

Thank you guys so much for the sweet comments on my previous post! It was my first lifestyle post and I'm glad you guys liked it! Kinda gives a small glance at what Seattle has to offer. Hopefully I'll be able to show you more in upcoming posts! So for this post, it was like a two posts from one day type of thing. I had wore this outfit during the Pike Place Culinary tour and I almost felt like a Seattle hipster with my slouchy beanie and chunky knit cardigan. haha.. I totally can blend in with the city crowd (even though I'm from the suburbs).

It was totally chilly that day even though the sun was out and I can't tell you how thankful I was for the beanie to cover up my ears! I'm definitely stocking up with more in different colors! It was just freezing and it was pretty funny how many people came up to us asking if I wanted my picture taken with the Hubs. haha.. it was definitely a tourist spot!

What clothing item has been your go-to for Fall?

Xperience Seattle

Happy Tuesday!

Living in Seattle my whole entire life, I never did anything 'touristy' besides going to the Space Needle and riding the Great Wheel down at the Seattle Waterfront. I was recently invited to experience an Seattle activity courtesy of Xperience Days. They are a company that provides most of the major cities in the United States with all kinds of fun activities that you can possibly think of. You can choose your location, search for the activity, and filter by price. You then book your tickets and they will send you the confirmation certificate once all has been chosen. They make it really easy for you!

For my experience, they had sent me a list of Seattle activities to choose from. I, of course being the major foodie, wanted to try out the Pike Place Market Culinary Tour. I've known about it forever but never had the real urge to go just because I've walked around Pike Place Market hundreds of times and know most of the great food places within the market. So I had thought...! I was super excited about it and even better that I got to bring along my husband/photographer. :) We started out at 9:45am to meet up with the group and our tour guide, Brett at the Market Theater nearby the infamous gum wall (pic above). There was a total of 16 people in our group which was nice because then you won't get too spread apart. They provided individual headsets to put in one ear so you can hear the tour guide as if you were standing right next to him. He started off with the history of the Pike Place Market and even more through-out the whole tour. Things I never even know of! Did you know that the first Starbucks ever wasn't where it's currently at in the market? Mind-blowing!

Here are the food stops of the Culinary Tour:
(plus what we ate!)

Daily Dozen Doughnut Company - mini cinnamon sugar donuts
Market Spice - market tea (#1 seller)
Pike Place Fish - 3 types of smoked salmon (The famous fish throw!)
Frank's Quality Produce - local apples, green, and red grapes
Pike Place Chowder - seafood bisque and New England clam chowder
Chukar Cherries - variety of cherries
Beecher's Handmade Cheese - mac & cheese and hazelnut cracker with flagship cheese
Piroshky, Piroshky - beef & cheese piroshky and apple cinnamon roll
Etta's - Tom Douglas' dungeness crab cakes

Impromptu stops with samples:

Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt - cheesecake and berry greek yogurt
Rachel's Ginger Beer - blueberry and original ginger beer

The tour lasted for two hours. Unfortunately we pretty much ate the food so quickly that we didn't have a chance to take photos. hehe.. but it was fresh and delicious! Trust me! :) I would have to say my favorites were the Pike Place Chowder Seafood bisque and the Tom Douglas' dungeness crab cakes. So good!! Right after the tour ended, I went back to get more seafood bisque and try their other chowder as well. We also received an VIP card to use amongst all the stops we went on along with other participating local businesses for a 10-15% discount. A great deal!

Thank you to Xperience Days for allowing me to take a day to have fun being a tourist in my own wonderful city! And if you are ever in the Seattle area, I would highly recommend this culinary tour. Or if you want to check out their other activities, click here for more!

Happy Thursday!

I've had this faux leather skater skirt in my closet since almost the beginning of summer. I was walking past Forever 21 one day and spotted this on display in the window. I didn't really think twice so I walked in and out just like that with it in tow. I knew I wanted to pair it with something that had print/pattern since it was a basic black skirt. I sorta forgot about it during the Summer until recently I bought this plaid button up and realized the two can be a great match for an outfit for Fall! What do you think? :)

Would you wear plaid and leather together?

Happy Monday!
As promised, here's the 'night time' version of how to style a polka dot chambray. Granted I would've liked a more nighttime setting but at the time, the only time I could've taken photos was during the daytime before running a full day of errands. haha.. So here I added a striped mini skirt with leggings and a pair of black boots. Adding more black basics with a pop of neon can turn this casual top ready to wear for an night out!

If you want to see how I styled the polka dot chambray for a daytime look, click (Here)!
