Hope everyone's weekend was great! Here's another outfit that I put together courtesy of 10DollarMall.com! I chose this cropped chevron top which I think will look great with any high-waisted shorts or skirts. As you can see, I wore it with this light-weight leather skater skirt that I got from Forever 21. It's a perfect combo of black and white. I also chose to pair their white sandals that would go great for any Summer outfit! :)
And if you notice any color on my somewhat pale legs, all I have to say is, thank goodness for Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs! Best thing for the beginning of Summer before you start tanning. hahaha..
I've recently partnered up with 10dollarmall.com to show you guys different outfits for the almost Summer weather in the next few weeks. I've selected items that I think will be great for going out or lounging at the beach! So on today's outfit, I immediately chose this cute pink muscle tee with an anchor print on it because I think anchors definitely reminds me of Summer. And of course the muscle tee cannot get anymore appropriate for the season. I did have to wear a bandeau from Aeropostale because the sides are cut very low which is perfect to wear a bikini underneath! But in this outfit, I decided to pair this tee with some black lace shorts so I can dress the top up a bit. A nice running errands outfit or going-out in the evenings with friends. :)
Over the weekend, the Hubs and I decided to take a day to enjoy Seattle and came across this awesome looking mural. So of course what a great opportunity to have my outfit photos for the day taken. I love finding different backgrounds to add to the blog once in a while. :) I wore this geo printed skirt from Aeropostale with a blush-toned sweater from H&M (might still be in stores) and to pair it off with my newly favorited jelly shoes from Jeffrey Campbell! Oh, how I haven't worn jellies in years! These d'orsay flat style jellies are the perfect addition to any outfit for Summer! Plus they are really comfy too! I have been wearing them on the weekends plus at work!
If you had seen my previous post, you would've noticed my quilted crossbody bag from Dailylook that I recently got. The whole reason why I had gotten it was because it reminded me of the beloved Chanel Boy flap bag that I would so love to have in my closet (someday) *sigh*. I went to go check it out while in New York at the Chanel boutique in Soho and it was so pretty in person and I just love how structured it is. But sadly, I don't have the Chanel Boy in my current budget (plus the Hubs would not be thrilled getting me another Chanel right now..) so what a girl to do? Well I spotted this look-alike on another blogger, Linh Winn and did a double-take thinking it was the Chanel Boy. But after looking at her outfit details, it was actually from Dailylook! And for the fraction of the price!! How amazing. :) Now of course who wouldn't love to get the actual thing but why not in the meantime score something close to it and still get a resemblance.
So here is my Splurge vs Save:
Left: Chanel Boy flap bag (Here) $4000.00 Right: Classic Quilted Purse from Dailylook (Here) $39.99
Please tell me what do you guys think and if you would rather splurge or save!
When going through the latest section at Aeropostale, I couldn't help but pickup these ruffled pair of floral shorts from the Bethany Moto collection. They're lightweight enough so they won't be too heavy to wear for the upcoming Summer! I also wasn't too sure about the crop top I got at Forever 21 but with high-waisted shorts, you can cover up some of the mid-section. ;)
What do you think of these high-waisted floral shorts from Aero?
As I mentioned in my previous post, I took a trip to New York with two girlfriends for a fun Memorial Day weekend! Our husbands stayed home while us girls had a fun trip! It was my first time ever going to NYC so we pretty much try to do as much as we can in our four days. So I finally was able to put together my New York diary post. It took me a while because I had taken TONS of pictures but didn't want this post to be super long so I did my best to condense it all down. Mainly food pictures because I'm a foodie that only thinks of food places to go while in a new city. ;)
Top Left to Right to Left:
- Picked up macarons at Laduree in the LE Nina Ricci box.
- First meal landed at Shake Shack.
- A must stop at Joe's Shanghai for their pork xiao long baos.
- Walking along Soho and stopped by Dominique Ansel Bakery.
- Dessert before dinner at Momofuku Milk bar (cereal milk ice cream).
- Last meal at Ippudo for their delicious ramen.
A quick outfit of the day while we were walking to Brooklyn..
I've been away this past week (hence no posts) for a fun girls weekend trip to NYC during Memorial Day! It was my first time ever traveling there so it was four busy days of sight-seeing and good eats. And if you follow me on Instagram, you can see some of my photos already but I plan on putting up a NYC diary soon (plus a quick outfit) so stay tuned! :)
Right before I left on my trip, I shopped the recent Nordstrom half-yearly sale for women and kids. I saw these Sam Edelman gladiators and couldn't help but bookmarked the page. I kept going back to them and was thinking of all the possible outfits to wear them with. So I gave in and had originally bought them in the taupe color but when I received them, I thought they were too nude on me. So back to the store in exchange for the black pair which I feel looks way better on me! It goes great with my floral top (have you noticed that I LOVE florals lately?) and distressed Old Navy rockstars. That day was kinda windy so my light cardigan from Aeropostale completed it.
