Changed into a black robe to get more comfy and was offered a yummy mimosa. ;)

Had a brief consultation with both, Robert specializes in color while Jason does the hair cut.
Right away they knew exactly what they wanted to do with my hair. Such a relief because I fully trusted their judgement and choices. Robert showed me a pic of a client he colored previously and we both agreed that was what I was going to get as well. A subtle light brown color melt that will highlight to my natural dark brown hair.
After deciding on the color melt, Jason shows me what he'll be doing for my hair cut.
A shorter lob* with sweeped bangs. Getting rid of the typical 'v' cut on the back and adding more texture.
Starting my color melt first with Robert.
Sharing his knowledge on the product dye he uses for my color which won't dry out my hair at all.
One of the main reasons why I stopped dyeing my hair in the past.
As he's applying, he shares tips on not using hot water to wash my hair and to shampoo the scalp and less focus on the hair itself. Rinsing the shampoo will be washed thru the hair anyways.
Balayage is a French technique and term meaning "to sweep" the color.
After the waiting period and the foils were checked by Robert. Got my hair shampooed and conditioned by Nick, who used this amazing smelling label. m organic shampoo!
Next, I met back up with Jason to start my hair cut.
He cuts 5-6 inches off of my hair. It was definitely a change but I was ready for it!
Of course.. I'm snapchatting the process while he blow dries my hair. ;)
As you can see, Jason added a lot of texture to the back with no product needed! I was amazed!
They use the Bio Ionic stylewinder rotating curling iron. Which is a game changer to curl hair with!
Gorgeous curls! You can see the subtle highlights coming thru against the natural light.
I admit, I have a hard time finding someone to do and understand my hair especially since asian hair isn't always easy to work with. But Jason knew exactly what my hair specifically needed. Not just a general cut.
Jason informs me how it should always be reverse directional curls. Changing between inwards and outwards curling. Not just going one direction. Definitely following that rule!
Spraying with light hairspray and using the fingers to loosen up the curls and build the volume.
Jason fixes my hair to get ready for the final photos. :)
Absolutely in love with my new hair!! <3
